Custom Headwear

Looking for a custom embroidered hat? With so many available models of headwear, it may prove difficult to find the one best suited to you. Let me give you my recommendations for the models which I have had the most success with so far in the embroidery business.

AJM International boasts of 10,000 styles to choose from. Although such a variety is definitely an asset to the company, it can be difficult to find the one that is right for you and your corporate needs. After years of work in this business, I can direct you to the most popular, basic styles.

For a durable, attractive baseball cap perfect for embroidery, the Heavyweight Brushed Cotton Drill is a big seller.  It’s a 6 panel hat with matching soft-buckram laminated front panels and Pro-Stitch. The back strap is a cloth tuck-in style with a classy embossed flip buckle to secure. This style, 2C440M, comes in a wide variety of colours: black, burgundy, charcoal, clay, forest green, midnight blue, navy, red, royal blue, taupe, and white.

NE100.JPGAlternatively, New Era also offers an attractive classic style of baseball cap. The Structured Stretch Cotton Cap (page 58) is also perfect for embroidery and corporate logos. Again, a 6 panel model, this hat is 97% cotton and 3% spandex, giving it a comfortable stretch aspect. Rather than an adjustable back strap, this hat can be ordered according to size, and will stretch to fit. The lack of strap provides a neat finished look which differs from the AJM model. The NE100 model comes in many different colours as well: black, dark green, navy, orange, purple, royal blue, scarlet, stone (beige), and white.

Winter is on its way! If you’re looking for a snug toque, AJM has what you need. My most commonly ordered model is the Acrylic Cuff Toque. An extremely classic look, this rib knit hat will keep you feeling warm and looking sharp. The 0530M model comes in many different colours: black, brown, charcoal, forest green, fluorescent orange, navy, red, royal blue, and white.

I hope this insight helped! Of course, if you want to decide for yourself which is your favourite hat style, I encourage you to browse through the companies’ catalogues by following the links above.

Until next time,

Tom
